What we do
Our particular area of expertise is getting smaller amounts of aid directly where it is needed, often in adverse weather conditions and arduous terrain. Working closely with other agencies who having got a truck to the nearest storage area, need our help to distribute the aid to mountain villages or flooded areas etc.
Because we deliver to so many projects run by so many different agencies in so many different countries, the experience and expertise we have gained has made us somewhat unique.
How we do it.
We use specialised 4 x 4 vehicles and trailers for the most part, because surprisingly we can legally carry more weight than a 7.5 ton lorry.
Secondly because we are classed as private vehicles we can usually get through foreign borders in a fraction of the time it takes a truck.
We can also get into those hard to get to areas where larger vehicles would struggle.
We have been known to ford rivers 4ft deep and drive over mountains 7500ft (that twice the height of Snowdon or Ben Nevis).
